The Clink by Wonder House

BASIC EFFECT:

Casually place a chilled bottle of beer in front of your spectators and ask them to inspect it closely-turning it in their hands and checking for any flaws or tricks. Satisfied, they pass it back. You pick a bottle opener and open the beer. You pour a frothy glass for them, even taking a sip yourself to share the moment.

Then, you hold up the bottle and its cap in the air in for all the audience gathered to see. Then with a slow, deliberate motion, you tap the cap against the bottle’s neck.

A sharp, unmistakable clink echoes and in an instant the cap is inside the bottle, resting at the bottom of the beer bottle.

No sleight of hand, no cover, no hint of deception-just pure, impossible magic in three effortless steps: inspection, the tap, and in it goes!

You hand the bottle to a skeptic in the crowd and ask them to inspect it again to see if it was the same bottle from before. They do, and as they shake it, the cap rattles inside, producing that same authentic clink of metal on glass, undeniable and real.

And just like that, a simple device have conquered the entire room.
